During his younger years when he wasn’t at baseball practice, he spent his time working with his father, a master carpenter who immigrated from Scotland. After finishing high school, Iain joined the Local 1 Bricklayers Union in Manhattan. His career and experience ascended quickly. Shortly after starting he was promoted to head Masonry Foreman as a result of his natural ability to manage and execute.
